The combination of antique shop and tea room is uncommon in HCMc but it is a nice concept. The shop offers a variety of TWG tea, cake and savory dish choices. Slightly above average price but totally worth it due to its quality and large portion. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is polite and helpful. Highly recommended!
In fact, I would not give this place 5 stars. I would give it 6-7 or even 10 stars if possible! What a place for a fine afternoon tea time!
Walking up to Villa Royale will land you into a whole new world separated from the bustling and hectic life of Saigon, like Alice travelling to wonderland. The place is amazing - from the antique decoration, to the vast space it offers and the lavish choice of fine teas.
But to me what really really stands out is their spectacular presentation of tarts and cakes. No where could offer a finer Salted Caramel tart than this, and the piece of Chocolate Macadamia tart is handsomely loaded with "too much" macadamia nuts that each bite a heavenly feeling. And to be honest, I have never been so bedazzled by so many delicious cakes to choose from.
Perhaps what may add to the wholesome experience here is a dash of flowery aroma for a more classy feeling! <3

When you want to experience Saigon in 19 and 20 th century then this is the place to go for an afternoon tea and cake. It’s just delightful and classy sitting in this tea room above the budy streets of Saigon. The tea Sortiment is endless and best quality served. I am a tea lover... i love this place- besides a delicious Buffet of fresh cakes it is difficult for choices. Yes i want to try all of them but the runner is the passion fruit cake...sweeter cant a dream be!
